Today, I went on a date with... Fangru!!! :lol: Yup, one of those crazy girls :wink: Met her at Orchard MRT at 1.00pm supposedly. Lol, I was the late one cos' she happened to reach there all too early -.-"
Yup, we went around deciding what to eat, till' finally I settled for KFC (again) and tried the Extra Crispy Chicken Meal... which actually tasted like some curry sorta fried chicken -___-" Oh wateva~
Lol... she bought the smallest popcorn meal, but still didn't manage to finish her meal! Wah... lol, told her next time around, she should request for half of the smallest at half the price :lol: heheheee... :b She claimed to be too full... sho funny~ 8)
After lunch, we hanged around the whole of Orchard Road (Far East Plaza- HMV- Centrepoint- P.S.) yup.. practically travelled on foot the whole way, though I had suggested her to push me in a trishaw~ :lol: heheeeee!
Went to Far East Plaza to find a sUiTaBlE shirt for one of her friend's b'day prezzie. Had a hard time deciding even though we had this really cute sales guy helping us out in our decision making. Well, the shirt did really look good on the sales guy. But the two of us were thinking whether it'd have the same effect on her friend (a plump version)!!! Seriously... guys who are moderately sized, would look naturally good in any form of shirt wear 8) (in my opinion of course) Furthermore, I didn't know how this guy friend of hers look like, so... yeah... I wasn't of much help either (which she had wanted since she asked me along) haha! Lol, unless the friend is one of mine, just ask and I'll point the shirt out to you :D cos' I know most of friends inside out (almost) In the end, she did manage to buy a shirt (XL) cos' we just couldn't figure out how big he is and well, worse comes to worst, the b'day boy will just have to change the size himself~ :lol: (S$55.90) and she was qualified to fill in an aplication form for some kinda membership thingey (need to spend S$50 and above at Lvl 1 of Far East Plaza)
Then we went up and around Far East and I bought some neat finger and wrist bands and she bought a black top from Pepper Plus. Kinda like some shirts I saw from 77th Street, but I just couldn't make up my mind on buying em' yet! Yup, got my pay for the expo assignment already (S$461) Hmmm, kinda lil' compared to the tiresome work I'd been put through :roll: Oh wateva~
Yeah, then we walked and talked, walked and talked and somehow the conversation came to about [b][i]guys wearing pink[/i][/b]! [b]Whaddaya think aboot dat?[/b] :D Kinda interesting cos' yeah, not many guys would actually wear pink. Then we headed off to Centrepoint Robinson's to look for Weimin during her dinner [time: 5.00pm] Yup, accompanied her till' 6.00pm. Weimin's planning to buy a ring and bracelet for herself (I think) Yeah, kinda like the ring she had in mind :) a very sweet design. Bought Almond Roca and tried to entice Fangru to eat it (yum!!!)
Later on,we walked our way... all the way to Plaza Singapura (P.S. i luv u) Yup, to find Sophia!!! But alas!!! Fate didn't let us meet again :cry: *sobsob* Yup, so we ended up having dessert at Kopitiam (2nd last level) cos' dear Fed's back from Canada since last night, but she backed out on me for a dinner =_=" cos' she wanted to watch tv :roll: Lol... she's not changed~~~

Met up with Fangru, Amanda and Clement (@mr.alien@tan tan@cle cle@ment ment) at 12.15pm at P.S. entrance. Lol, actually I kinda got lost in the MRT area since I wasn't so familiar with Dhoby Ghaut. So I reached there kinda early and just couldn't find the P.S. entrance so, I msged the 2 girls telling them I was somehow lost in the MRT maze and would be late. Hmm, since Amanda told us that she was gonna be late, so I thought maybe I'd wait for her at the MRT exit (which I did and met her with Clement!) :lol: How lucky~!!! Then we met Fangru at the entrance (though she told us later that she actually went out by the same exit -.-""")
When we've met and Mr. Alien was done with getting some money outta the ATM, we went up to the cinema!!! Got em' tickets for Van Helsing!!! And salty popcorns!!! Heheee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! Haven't eaten em' like in a month :lol: :oops: Well, I just didn't have the time or company to be at the cinemas... so yeah... :) Got a whole bucket to myself (and finished it in like half the movie's time!!!) Fangru and Amanda shared a bigger bucket of sweet ones but, didn't even finish half of em' :lol: The bigger bucket should have been mine!!! Wahahahax! Mr. Alien ate hotdog~!
The movie was awesome!!! 4 stars from me!!! (5's only for LOTR) 8) Though the ending's a lil' sad, cos' I was hoping maybe Anna would've lived and married Mr. Van Helsing! Hehee! Wishful thinking... Kinda like Mr. Frankenstein :) he's so cute ya know! Really... Van Helsing's partner's a wee bit adorable too~ :lol:

And I was like, "errr, hmmmm... where to go now~" So, instead of going home, I'd thought maybe I'd go find Sophia. And Mr. Alien was like half-hearted :lol: In the end, he still followed in Amanda's direction :lol: I failed to find Sophia, found Aishan instead~ Hmmm, perhaps another day then...
When I reached the Dhoby Ghaut Mrt Station, I was so decisionless!!! "Where to go? Home? Meet JK? Meet someone who's still in S'pore?" Somehow, I think JK's angry with me about something... I think I know, but it ain't my fault (I was working that time) :roll: So I called up on Sm and after 30mins of trying to make a decision... VOILA!!! Anyways, went to eat lunch at KFC (I've forgotten that I just had a meal :X) So yeah... they filled in their poly admission+enrolment forms and stuff and this time, we had a better digestable lunch 8) heheex! Otherwise, I think it'd be hard on my stomach for the rest of the day...
Then we walked around and around Taka, HMV... (took neoprints again!!! shiny shiny de!!! :D) till we were like "time's up for amanda! hehe~~" then we proceeded to the MRT.. Yup, she's making preparations in being a good housewife and mother :lol: J/K!!! Cos' yeah her maid's left already, so yeah the only daughter in the house has to help and stuff. She didn't even know that what I bought was jelly, and not some kind of drink!!! I'm surprised I didn't blow up when the Internet hung up on me and I had to [b]refill[/b] in the long darn form. Quite an achievement on my temper control, I must say 8) Yeay!!! [LINE] Still I think, the universities are a lil' too much to make us wait that long and hence earn money by our reservation fees!!! Or are they really seriously competing against each other for better candidature? Argh!!! But they're so selfish as to make us wait and pay that $100! S$100 isn't little ya know!!! It can buy me perhaps 10 days of meals :roll: darn... Today, I went to NTU for some welcome thingey by the School of Computer Engineering. Yeah, for the record...

Yeah, I was rather totally pissed off, when I received an offer for the Computer Science course instead, like a week ago... Come on man... Why confuse my thoughts?!?
To elaborate... I was like totally crazy about the Computer Science course thingey the first time I wanted to send in my application in March. Then, after some severe persuasion and convincing by family and peers, I'd came to think that Comm and Info was more my thing and had better job prospects. Why? Cos' writing's been some sort of a passion and I've been known to kinda have a flair for it, plus working in the broadcasting and media arena created a big anticipation on me. So, my mind totally switched to Comm and info! [i][I have this mindset problem, I realised...][/i] Now that fate has it that I can't sit through that wonderful course, I've to switch my mind back to Comp Sci!!! Man!!! Of course I'm dead furious! I hate [i][b]changing[/b][/i]! I can't [i][b]change[/b][/i] that easily... Yet, no one seems to understand me... Perhaps, my emotions over such a small matter may seem too overwhelming... But to me, it's really a big deal. I have to have some time to think over it again. Man... getting a degree is like almost determining how to make full use of your future. Otherwise, why get a degree that you won't be using? And when I say I need time to think, I mean [b]TIME[/b]! Time to sit down and digest, time to evaluate and time to propose a solution. Furthermore, I haven't had time while I was working. But no one seems to understand! I got angry over it and tried to just push the matter aside till I had [b]time[/b] to ponder over it. But I keep getting pushed to make a decision! Why can't my mind just have some break from all the work, and then have time to ponder over it? Why? Give me some thinking space...
So when I kept silent each time the issue about decision making was raised, I was scolded. If I had said something that was on my mind, I'd be scolded too. Either way, I was scolded. Why? My temper is to be blamed. Man!!! I wasn't raising my temper or anything... I was just trying to be calm and cool and trying to think over it... Besides, I've controlled my temper very well all due to silence. Yet my silence seems to be misunderstood again! Can someone please enlighten me? [b]Should I say what's on my mind or be silent?[/b]
I'm quite fed up... Even when I say something in my normal tone of voice, my temper is to be blamed for raging again! Please... My temper is doing just fine these days, unless I start shouting and hollering all the nonsense. Anyway, I don't holler nonsense. All I do, is try to reason myself. But cos' people start raising their voices at me, I raise mine too. Why? Cos' I'm afraid they can't hear out my reasoning. Now, isn't that being reasonable enough? Just pay me some listening ear and hear me out and then think over your reply again.

Anyway, I went to the NTU SCE thingey as a means of trying to decide whether Comp Sci is the right choice. It's always better than having to make a hasty decision. Yeah, but I just couldn't understand why Dad was so insistent on me paying for the course. It's not until the 17th that I have to reply ya know...

Man, the welcome meet was a bit enriching but come to think of it, I think it was more for the Comp Eng people. All they usually talked about was Comp Eng. Praised about Comp Eng. Everything that is good is Comp Eng. Laughed about Comp Sci. Man... I hear different views from different people. Saying Comp Sci is like all software and programming and that it could be learnt from books and etcetera and like "why bother going through uni just to study it". Saying Comp Eng people are more likely to get jobs. Man! Then some said that it depends on the individual. Well, yeah... But considering the job market, how probable is that Comp Sci people will get employed? Won't the employers prefer the Comp Eng people, who knows both worlds : software and hardware???
That's what kept me silent the whole day. Plus being too tired from the heat of all the climbing and getting lost in the NTU's School of Computer Eng and worn out from listening to the sophisticated project people's presentations. Totally physically and mentally worn out. I've met new people but I just don't know whether there'll be a second time where I'll meet them on campus again. It was enriching a lil' but my mind's just a lil' too confused in trying to make a decision such that, I just can't be bothered by other matters. The games and get together's were quite fun but, the people there (mostly guys) seem too tall for me to [i]reach[/i]. Literally speaking... plus the fact that they're older than me (generation gap?) Almost became a loner, had I not met Shasha and Jennifer (ex-PJCians) Then James was rather interactable... The rest were like... [b]dead[/b] most of them... I dunno... Maybe they're just like me? Pondering over making a final decision?

Hmmm then we ventured out to Cineleisure without knowing what to have for lunch. Came across Burger King but.... wE'vE hAd EnUfF oF tHaT aT tHe ExPo... Came across KFC but... there wasn't enough seats. So, we had Long John Silver's!
Man, that was the first hardest lunch I have ever had the chance to swallow! Seriously... the laughter was so hard to bear that the 3 of us almost choked on our food about almost every 5 seconds... :lol: We're pratically the worst people you'd ever want to have a meal with! Why laugh, you'd ask? Well, it can be over almost the tiniest matter... But if you were there with us, you'd feel the atmosphere :P
Yup, we whiled our time away hoping to finish our lunch as we spoke and laughed, spoke and laughed. Then we went to get some Neoprint snappies~! Yeay~! Well, at least now I have a better memory of the two 8)

Along our way there, we actually noticed Terence from the Expo Logistics, with a skateboard if I recalled correctly. He didn't notice us though~ Yeah, then we bumped into 2 of Amanda's friends. Boy, you should have seen the way the trio shrieked out, as if they'd just met their lovers! :lol: Hilarious, Fangru and I just couldn't help laughing away...
We laughed and talked, laughed and talked all the way towards our destination, wondering what Jason was doing while waiting for us, wondering what Jason was wearing (since he really resembled a 13 yr old despite being 17... not being sarcastic but we were really curious since we only got to see one another in our Robinsons uniform) Oh... we can be such meannies~! :lol: Oh well, no offence, but the 3 of us are cranky people when put together :wink: so we kinda got into the cranky mood the whole day...

Then Fangru met her senior, the one she likes to thank with a "thank you for your k'poh"! Lol!!! That girl is so cranky~ Hahahx... And I couldn't help giggling when I found out that her senior's name's Ahmad... Aww man!!! 4 Ahmads in Robinsons for the record: Ahmad Dawood (my training senior), Ahmad (my training senior's partner), Muhammad (="ahmad syllable"=turtle), Ahmad (Fangru's senior) :D yup... then the two recollected old times a lil' and I didn't really snorted (as Amanda mentioned)... LOL... The unexpected laughter just came out when I was yawning! :oops: hehee!!!
Yup, then we headed out to the washroom and Jason suggested that we go to the arcade at Orchard Emerald, I think... Yup, played Daytona like mad people.. Haha! Seriously, I think I'm too short for it... The seat's like a lil' too far from the steering wheel, though I've adjusted it. But anyway, had fun there... Yeah, the place was a wee bit too loud though, till... I couldn't hear that Mum called me 13 times... :oops: It wasn't my fault man! I just couldn't hear my mobile ringing!!! :cry: Then I think Mum was a wee bit pissed off... I dunno...
Then, we headed out. Fangru and I walked Amanda to the MRT, while Jason made a head start's disappearing act. That guy's weird... He just didn't talk to us, except for Amanda. Maybe he likes Amanda :idea: haha... Too bad, she's already attached 8) Yeah... or maybe he's got some inferiority complex and trying to hide his emotional self. Therefore, he exudes non chalance~ Aha!!! That must be it! Oh wateva~
All due to Fangru's persuasion to accompany her, plus the fact that we take the same train home, I accompanied my dear "ai ren" to accompany Weimin during her dinner time (5.00pm). Yup, happens to turn out that Weimin's working cos' of a job attachment for poly. Hmm, interesting... Then dilly dallied... till it was 6.00pm and we headed home.
Stopped by the bubble milk tea's shop and bought some home, hoping to pacify my Mum... Well, it wasn't really my fault that I couldn't hear my mobile ringing, was it? -.-" Well, all's well, I guess...
My sis fell sick again... Wonder why is it that she falls sick this often. Exam stress? Weather? Lack of sleep? Insufficient nutrients? Hmmm... [i]Ponder ponder...[/i]
WOW~! Today is the first day eversince the 27th April, that I get to wake up at 1.00+ pm. Especially since it was such a terribly nice weather to sleep in (it was raining birds+cats+dogs+etc) 8)
Oh well, actually today's supposed to be the last day of our first Robinson's assignment. But since we've managed to clear up the necessary mess yesterday, we're given a day off today (without pay thou :roll:) Wateva~~~
Man... The last 8 days of work had been both great torture and fun! Lol!!! Like they say, there's always a blessing in disguise of all the bleakness (almost always lar ya~)
[b]Torture as in:[/b] - had to travel from one corner of the hall to the other just to punch in and out for meal breaks (which was only an hour long each) - no chairs for us to rest our backsides and loosen the tight muscles in our legs and feet - almost 11.5 hrs of standing behind the counter - having annoying customers not trusting our cashiering prowess and insisting that they hadn't spent that much (wth... don't they count how much they're spending? at least give a personal estimate!!!) - having customers asking for more than 2 extra plastic bags (kiasu???) - having customers who DON'T HAVE PRICE TAGS on their items for purchase (thus, giving us extra work on running around the hall for the prices and stalking the walkie-talkie guys for the bar codes) - having customers asking time and again about the 5% monthly rebate on the Robinson's OCBC card (don't they listen to the card people when they became the members??? adults with no brains??? or short term memory???) - having customers who want the silver shopping bags provided (only for SHOPPING IN ROBINSON'S) for their own shopping usage outside of the Singapore Expo Hall 5! (can't they buy their own big silver bag? nothing's free in this world ya know...almost...) - having to pack enormous items into the flimsy plastic bags provided (just realized being a packer ain't easy for my height :? ) - having to pack all the glassware and fragile items!!! (papers and papers and plastics and plastics) - having to change big money for smaller change all the way up the cash office when they've ran out (to think the supervisor ENSURED us that the cash office people would be [i]running[/i] around for us to change money! hahz! they did but not as often as required!) - the extra eXtRa extra long queue on Labour Day!!! (and we don't get paid extra eXtRa extra for our hard work...aAaAaRgH) - the stingyness of not having air-conditioning during our hall-tear-down yesterday!!! (it was extra damn hot!!!) - having to balance myself on the damn slippery floor yesterday!!! - having injuries on my hands caused by the stupid scotch tape dispenser!!! - to be called "auntie" by a small boy... (o bother~) - lastly... to be called "turtle"... by you know who... darn it... -______-"
[b]Fun as in:[/b] - I got to work beside great+crazy+cranky+funny people! (you guys bring teary and throat sore laughters to me :lol: serious!!!) - got a great partner, Sophia! (5566 fan!!! nu ren!!!) - got a great shift packer, Ying Rong! (ma lai nu ren!!!) - got great neighbouring cashiers and packers, namely; Fangru (ai ren), Amanda (auntie), Ai Shan, Chen Hanwei (lol), Adillah, Yee Huan, Suseela, Muhammad (turtle... +_+) - got a great meal break gang; Joanna, Lixuan, Vanitha, Yee Huan, Fadilah, Nadia, Rohaiya - when Jason finally acknowledged me as "jie" not "auntie" :lol: - when all the cashiers and packers and walkie-talkie guys went slack+bonkers+chaotic on our last sale day, 3rd May!!! - when we all started wasting the PAID and FRAGILE stickers on our fellow colleagues~!!! (first victim was Firdaus, QC aka walkie talkie guy :lol: ) - when Mummy dearest came for shopping on our last sale day!!! - when I met some old acquaintances shopping in the area - when I heard that my aunts and uncles had came for shopping (thou I didn't get to see them) - when we had sweets to eat! - when we turned nonsensical due to boredom since there was no customers! - when Suseela wanted to stuff me into a luggage! - when Sophia drank like a water tank! (lol) - when both Sophia and Ying Rong were around and the three of us just went totally nuts sometimes! - when Adillah took off her shoes and found them missing when she wanted to wear em' back!!! :lol: - when I started to try my massaging prowess on you guys and all of you freaked out in pain esp Adillah :lol: (only Yee Huan could stand the pain) - when we had sweets to eat! - when Joanna always had mayonaise smearing her lips everytime she munched on a burger or takoyaki! - when Vanitha resembled a guy, regardless of how we took a photo shot of her and regardless of whose camera phone was used! - when Yee Huan started kicking people's backsides! - when Fangru giggled everytime she saw the cute big-eyed guy walk past! lol - when Fangru laughed even though I said nothing :lol: - when Kok Wai had his whole face made up into a girl on our last sale day!!! (man~ he is pretty~ :lol:) - when you guys didn't believe that I'm turning 19~ lol - when I thanked the logistics' guys everytime they came to unload our white rectangle bucket - when I fell down on my backside yesterday, trying to arrange the metal bucket into the line (the floor was damn slippery!!!) - when we just talked all nonsense yesterday about "ai ren" in between our labour jobs! - when we tried to find suitable and comfortable spots to rest our backsides~ - when getting bullied (=punched/pinched/poked/t eased at) by "turtle", though I hate to admit it... he's a real nice guy :oops: funny too... very tall too... very helpful too... o bother~~~
Well... that somehow summarises my 8 days of Robinson's Expo Warehouse Sales :) But only the fun remains engraved in my memory, every night and every day... :wink:
